This policy applies to all information collected by the Caddieapp app, as well as the website.
Information we collect
We use WordPress, Gravity Forms, and Mautic to collect information about current customers, as well as potential customers who visit our site. We host these services ourselves. If a customer chooses to provide them, we collect their first name, last name, and email address. We track pages of our website that are viewed, and emails we’ve sent that are viewed.
If you decide to purchase, we collect your payment information via Stripe. Sensitive payment information such as credit numbers are sent directly to Stripe and are not stored on our systems.
We use Mixpanel to track basic usage statistics within the app. These include first app opens and round starts, as well as the default Mixpanel properties listed here.
The app will be linked to the email address and name that you provide. This linking is used for customer service and may be used for our own marketing purposes, such as sending an email to users whose round starts are below or above a certain threshold.
We may store data generated or collected by the app on our servers for backup and synchronization purposes. For example, rounds played and scores entered. We do not associate sensitive information such as location with stored data.
We provide the option to send an email invitation to friends and family. When this feature is utilized, we use the provided data for sending the invitation only and do not retain the information or use it for marketing purposes.
We provide the option to contact us or to request a golf course to be added. When this feature is utilized, we retain your name and address in order to reply to your message, and may also use it to contact you with product updates in the future. You can opt out of future messages by contacting us.
We use backend services hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide course search results and course data. The services record logs, including the date, time, and IP address of requests, as well as details of the data being requested, such as a course name or ID. We intentionally omit the requester’s location from logs for location-based searches.
We use Clicky to track website visits and page views on the cadde.app website. We do not collect personally identifiable information through Clicky, nor do we attempt to connect website visitors with specific individual using other tools or data sources
We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors interact with our website so that we can improve it.
We include the Meta Pixel, Google Tag, Microsoft Pixel, and Reddit Pixel, on the pages of the caddie.app website. These are used to determine the effectiveness of our advertising and may also be used to target advertising for our products and services to visitors that have shown previous interest.
